She moved like a robin popping out
From a hedge beyond the safe
Edge of her map when she knows
A cat is walking out

Winter sunlight took some delight
To warm her back, but night strong
Eyes saw more than that missing cat
And were ready to take flight

And the garden was quiet
And the wind was still
And there was peace
To take her fill of what was beautiful
And right
